Pistols & Pearls - Ten of the blessings in my life.

It's been a long time since I have had the time to write a blog. I actually forgot all about "blogging" until I had a conversation with an old boyfriend who said he still read my old blogs. Creepy? Maybe so but it reminded me how much I like doing this. I'll thank him later... or maybe not. Many of you have heard me talk about wanting to adopt & I finally have. Ten fabulous teenage girls that refer to themselves as the Pistols & Pearls. Who would have thought after having my leg snapped in an equestrian drill team I'd turn around and coach one? I LOVE it. I LOVE every single second of it. I like to think of them as my ten little blessings. I had no idea what an inspirational and rewarding opportunity this was going to be. I have heard a lot of people talk about things in their lives being "heaven sent" but I had no idea what that meant until about three months ago. I didn't only get one gift from God but he blessed me with ten. For this opportunity I will always be thankful. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. I've decided to keep a blog on the girls and their progress. I believe with all my heart that they will not only be a team that will perform amazing drills, but I also believe these girls have the ability to make changes in the things they believe in. I think they will support those in need and show the community what an inspirational group of young ladies they are.
